On of the consequences of amalgamation of the POA and PSA is that we have been able to re-established a specialist occupational health and safety position.
Terry Hannan will take over these duties. His role will be largely advisory to industrial staff and delegates. He will not be out there inspecting and negotiating on the small jobs -- that's Industrial Organiser and Organiser work.
His immediate OHS task will be looking at Government Accomodation Guidelines. This will be particularly important for members when offices are relocated. Delegates should contact Terry for his advise.
Terry can be contacted on 02 9299 5655. This is a temporary number (it's the old POA number) until office office rearrangement arising from the amalgamation are complete.
