20% claim update

There was a meeting with the Public Employment Office yesterday to discuss our claim for 20% over two years for members only. There will a mention in the Industial Commission tomorrow.
This claim covers people under the Crown Employees (Public Sector Salaries) Award.
There is not a great deal that may be reported. However, the negotiations are getting down to detail.
What can be said is:
- Both parties are seeking a negotiated settlement;
- The employer will make a offer on the amounts by the first week in March;
- The employer is seeking a 3 year term for the award, as it has with other unions;
- Our members only claim is being seriously discussed and the options are being examined.
