Launch of Trade Union Education Foundation

The Trade Union Education Foundation will be launched in Sydney at 2.00 pm, Sunday 9 February at Sydney Town Hall.

Gough Whitlam will do the honours.

TUEF aims to give the positive profile of unions and unionism. It aims to answer and counter anti-union prejudices and ideologies.

Patrons, of whom Gough is one, are prominent citizens who are not active unionists. That is people who don't have a direct self-interest and can stand back and see the value and good work of unions.
