Survival Day

Survival Day -- a celebration of Aboriginal Survival will be Yarra bay House, La Perouse, on Sunday, January 26, from 9 am to about 5 pm.

10,000 people are expected to attend.

Labor Council will have a stall. The PSA and other unions will staff it.

Lee Silva, the PSA's Aboriginal Organiser, and Jayne Pilkinton, our Women's Officer/Training Officer Jayne Pilkinton will represent the PSA.

The accent is on information about employee rights, pay rates, which union to join, union rights, etc.

The day will also provide an opportunity for union officials to make more contacts with Aboriginal community leaders.
