ADFA - 10% over 2 years

General Staff at the Australian Defence Force Academy have voted to accept a new enterprise agreement providing a 10% increase over 2 years.

They will get:

1.3% backdated to July 1996 4.7% on certification of the agreement by the Australian Industrial Relations Commission - this should happen this month. 4.0% at the beginning of 1998.

An improved general redundancy rate will also be available if needed.

This will be 2.5 weeks for each week of service up to 58 weeks, plus 10 weeks' notice or pay in lieu.

(The previous cap was 52 weeks and 8 weeks' notice. ADFA also had a special redundancy provision in the last agreement because there was a fear that undergraduate courses would be abolished - that was 4 weeks/year up to 80 weeks. That worry no longer exists and the provision has been withdrawn.)
