Electricity Anti-Privatisation Rally outside ALP Conference, May 3

There will be a community rally to "Stop The Sell-Off" of publicly owned electricity assets outside the ALP Annual Conference at Darling Harbour on Saturday May 3.

The conference, in a break from tradition, will be held at the Convention Centre, Darling Harbour.

Indications at this stage is that ALP delegates will uphold ALP policy opposing privatisation. That gives us even more reason to step up the pressure and that we make this rally a big success.

This may be your last opportunity to let the Government know that the people of NSW say NO!!!. If we let the Government go ahead with privatisation it will lead to:

• higher prices
• less reliable supply, particularly in storms
• jobs and services will go overseas.

So gather at the Convention Centre, Darling Harbour (near the Olympic monument) at 9.30 am, Saturday 3 May.
