Rostering Issues at the Long Bay Gaol Complex

The Public Service Association representing striking Prison Officers at the Long Bay Prison Complex has this afternoon met with Senior Management of the Department of Corrective Services.

At this meeting, Management have agreed to put the rostering function back to the Long Bay Complex with the establishment of a Working Party to look at rostering generally.

Greg O'Donohue, Principal Industrial Officer with the Association, said:

"This is a sensible outcome in the short term. We are asking striking Prison Officers at Long Bay to return to the prison complex at 8am tomorrow morning at which time we will be recommending a return to work".
