PSA/Unions NSW Survey on Injured Workers’ Needs for Worker Comp

07 March 2006

WorkCover is developing an information booklet for injured workers. As part of the consultation process Unions NSW and the PSA are surveying members on their needs, to ascertain what injured workers need to know about their rights and entitlements.

Could you please list any information that you feel is relevant for an injured worker to know eg. medical expenses, payment entitlements. Fill in the attached form or just compile a list or notes and send to:

Fax: Attn Pam Veivers 02 9262 1623

Dr Pam Veivers, A/OHS Officer
PSA
GPO Box 3365
Sydney NSW 2001

or email pveivers@psa.asn.au

Please bring this survey to the attention of members who have been through the workers compensation process - many will have useful comments on their experiences. Also bring to the attention of delegates and active union members - they are often the people who get the questions first and again they can offer us valuable comments.

A Workshop will be held on Tuesday 21st March from 9:30 am to 12 noon in Training Room 2 on the Ground Floor 377 Sussex St Sydney. The PSA has 3 -4 places available so if you work in the metropolitan area and would like to participate as a PSA delegate and have had some experience in dealing with these issues please leave a message for Dr Pam Veivers on 9220 0988.
