Developments on the School Support Staff pay dispute

The Minister’s office has contacted the PSA to say they are continuing to have discussions with Treasury with the aim of resolving the School Assistants and Senior School Assistants pay issue. We await any developments.

Meanwhile, PSA President Sue Walsh has been inundated with messages of support from members urging strike action.

As a result the SASS Steering Committee delegates will meet by teleconference tomorrow to decide on dates for the proposed strike(s).

The scheduled meeting next week will still happen to further develop the campaign.
