TAFE/DET: - Some Members do support us

Left Labor Members of Parliament passed the following resolution last week:

" . . . calls upon the NSW Government to:

1. Reverse its decision to abolish the fee exempt status of equity courses in TAFE
2. Allow multiple fee exemptions as needed for disadvantaged students in TAFE
3. Reduce significantly the unacceptably high TAFE fee increases
4. Stop any restructure of the Department of Education and Training that reduces the already inadequate number of job positions
5. Stop opposing the pay and conditions equity case in the Industrial Relations Commission for part-time casual TAFE teachers
6. Make a significantly improved salary offer to all NSW teachers."
