Two Rivers newsletter

NAIDOC Week
NAIDOC Week celebrations for 2007 will be held from 8 to 15 July. The national theme is, 50 years: Looking Forward, Looking Blak. NAIDOC originally stood for ‘National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee’ and its acronym has become the name of the week.

National Sorry Day
National Sorry Day is commemorated on May 26 each year. 2007 is the 10th year since the tabling of the Bringing Them Home Report on the separation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children from their families.

Reconciliation Australia
27 May - 3 June 2007 is National Reconciliation Week. This is the 11th anniversary of National Reconciliation Week. Other events occur throughout the year.The site has a section linking iems about the 40th anniversary of the 1967 Federal Referendum.
