The Centre for Flexible Learning and the Centre for Professional Development were merged into a single work unit and renamed the Learning and Training Centre.

Initial discussions commence in October 2007 and the implementation proper began in January 2008.

The merger involved a number of disputes with respect to the interpretation and application of the change management provisions of the enterprise agreement.

Ten positions were identified as potentially redundant under the University's original proposal; however we were successful in minimising the number of job losses to three positions.
