Draft Greyhound & Harness Racing Regulatory Authority Award 2006

The PSA and the Authority have held one meeting to discuss the contents of the draft award. The meeting looked at the contents of the award in an attempt to identify provisions that both parties were in agreement with or that would be subject to further negotiation.
The draft award is an amalgamation of both the Crown Employees (Greyhound and Harness Racing Regulatory Authority - Harness Racing Staff) Conditions of Employment Award 2007 and the Crown Employees (Greyhound and Harness Racing Regulatory Authority - Greyhound Racing Staff) Conditions of Employment Award 2007.
The aim here was to consolidate conditions from both awards into the one industrial instrument.
The next agreed step in the consultative process is for the PSA to establish a workplace bargaining team. The bargaining team will comprise of four members from the following areas:
- 1 x Harness Admin
- 1 x Greyhound Admin
- 1 x Harness Steward
- 1 x Greyhound Steward.
The purpose of the bargaining team once elected, will be to advocate for the interests of the membership during this consultative phase.
The Executive will be kept informed of the progress of these discussions.
