DADHC Case Management Reform Implementation

As previously reported to the Executive, the DADHC and the PSA have been involved in negotiations on the implementation of a new Case Management Model in its Community Support Teams.
An offer was made to the Association on 12th February which provided the following:
- 100 additional Case Managers positions to be recruited over the next two years.
- 6 new Senior Practitioners Case Management.
- Personal salary transitions arrangements for employees currently under the Community Living Award to the Crown Employees (Administration and Clerical Officers - Salaries) Award 2007.
- A reduction of working 38 hours to 35 hours per week.
- A new classification structure for Case Managers.
- Salary progression for Social Workers by having the Grade 7 position made into a Grade 7/8 position.
- And current staff who apply for promotional positions to receive priority assessment prior to consideration of external applicants.
Following endorsement of the proposal by a ballot of members and recommendations by the Departmental Committee, the PSA formally accepted the proposal on 21st February 2008.
The Department have now commenced recruitment to the new positions.
