DADHC Community Support Teams Restructure

The Department of Ageing Disability and Home Care have made further concessions to their previous offer dated the 18 January 2008 of salary maintenance for 18 months.

The Department final proposal to the Association dated 12 February 2008 is now offering the removal of the time limited salary maintenance for effected members.

The Department and the Association have now agreed on the arrangements for members working in the area of Case Management and they include the following:

  • Current staff will transition to the new case manager salary scale without having to apply.
  • Members currently on a higher rate of pay will receive indefinite salary maintenance and also receive all future public sector wages increases.
  • Change of working hours from 38 hours per week to now working 35 hours per week in conjunction with the conditions of the Crown Employees Admin and Clerical Award.
  • Internal applicants to be considered before selecting from external applicants.
  • Any potential displaced or displaced member to be given priority identified assessment.

The proposal has been presented to DADHC Departmental Committee Executive on 15 February 2008 who have endorsed the proposal on behalf of members.
