The Association has again had to take action against the Department in response to both their letter and bulletin sent to all staff working in the group home structure dated 8 February 2008.

The Community Living Award bulletin that had been distributed by the Department again referenced that there had been agreement reached between the Association and DADHC.

As a result of this bulletin the Association took immediate action against the Department by lodging a dispute in the Industrial Relations Commission.

Negotiations have now recommenced with the Department, however the Association has still not been able to obtain a clear understanding from DADHC regarding their salary scale proposal.

The Department has agreed to provide the Association with further details outlining their salary classification.
