On 22 January an application for a Crown Employees (Department of Corrective Services - Community Offender Services) Award was filed in the Industrial Relations Commission.

The Award focuses on the Senior Probation and Parole position and also on the implementation of workload models previously negotiated and agreed to.

The Award was set down before Commissioner Murphy on 29 January for conciliation. At the Conciliation, the Department indicated that it would not enter into discussions regarding the application and the matter was referred to Acting President Walton.

The matter was before Acting President Walton Monday 11 February. The application is deemed a special case. The PSA requested that a date be fixed after the handing down of the major salaries case.
