Crown Employees (Public Sector – Salaries 2007) Award

The new Crown Employees (Public Sector - Salaries 2007) Award was made on 1 February 2007 by Schmidt J in the NSW Industrial Relations Commission.

The award includes corrections to the published rates for July 2006 plus the 4% salary increase effective from the 1st pay period to commence on or after 1 July 2007. The award's term is to 30 June 2008.

This is the final instalment of the agreement for 4% per year negotiated by the PSA in 2004.

Despite a great deal of work by the parties at the time it was made, the previous Crown Salaries 2004 award unfortunately contained a number of errors in Part B (many of them due to problems with the PEO's computer program), and omitted a Determination and an Agreement. After discussion, the PSA and PEO decided that it would be appropriate to seek the making of a new award to correct the 1.7.06 rates and that it was a convenient time to add the fourth and final 4% increase from the MOU signed December 2004.

Classifications, salaries and allowances for new awards and variations to existing awards have been included. The new Salary Packaging clause has been brought forward from the 2004 award.
