Creation of State Property Authority

The State Property Authority was created on 1 September 2006 under the State Property Authority Act 2006.

The Authority is a Part 1, Public Service Department under the PSEMA and is constituted as a corporation.

Staff from Treasury (2), Police (2) and the Department of Commerce (73) have been transferred into the State Property Authority.

The Authority is currently maintaining the status quo until a CEO is appointed. It is envisaged that an appointment will be made early in the New Year.
