AGD Flexible Working Hours (FWH) DisputeCentral Council, 9 October 2006
Report adopted
Following lengthy discussions with the AGD regarding the AGD FWH dispute and numerous reports to the Industrial Relations Commission, a ballot of members employed in the AGD and eligible to vote was conducted by the Association's Returning Officer. The ballot was to decide whether the members would accept or reject the final draft of the FWH Agreement. The result of the ballot was declared on Tuesday, 3 October 2006, and the Returning Officer reported that a clear majority of members had voted YES to accept the draft agreement. A report back to the IRC before D.P. Sams advised the result of the ballot. The AGD advised that draft guidelines for the implementation of the FWH Agreement would be provided to the Association for negotiation. The Association and the AGD have agreed that orientation meetings would be held prior to and as part of the implementation of the FWH Agreement. The Association believes that the orientation "roadshow" is needed, given that the majority of problems encountered under the previous FWH agreement occurred as a result of lack of management at mid management level. The matter has been listed for further report back, if required, on 7 December 2006. Contact Details Garry Harris, Industrial officer Ph: 02 9220 0947 gharris@psa.asn.au |
