Assuming that the 4.7% Unknowns joined at least 14 years ago, before the current membership system, the figure for over 45 years of age would increase beyond 55.3%.

Compared to both the NSW Public Sector and "NSW employed persons", the PSA's membership is considerably older.

In addition the under-25 year old age group is considerably underrepresented in the PSA's membership.
