TAFE WSI “Class Support Review” update09 September 2008On 4 September, the PSA met with TAFE management, at their request, to receive the proposed 'without prejudice' document for the class support review, prior to formal negotiations. The main proposed changes are:
At this stage, the proposal does not appear to be an attempt to relocate resources or staff, or to significantly change functions currently performed. Over the next two weeks (starting at Nepean College on Monday 8 September), WSI management will be meeting with class support staff to explain the proposal and its impact on you and your college. A PSA representative will be present at all of these meetings. The PSA will also be conducting our own consultation with members, in order to continue to find out and represent your views and concerns. We will then meet again with management to discuss the outcomes of these consultations and their industrial implications, such as:
