WSN staff to vote on pay offer on Thursday

PSA members have already had the opportunity to vote in principle and have their say on the proposed two year State Enterprise Agreement that will be replacing the recently expired Award.
The proposed Agreement will now be put to staff to be voted on this Thursday 14 August 2008. This will be done at both Rhodes and Chullora with a PSA official present. For other worksites staff members can vote by fax.
As a reminder, the Agreement being put forward will provide:
- A two year State Agreement from 30 June 2008 to 30 June 2010.
- 4% Pay rise upon certification of the Agreement (Back paid to 01 July 2008).
- 4% Pay rise from 01 July 2009.
- All current conditions of employment in the Award to remain in the Agreement.
In accepting this deal, PSA members have agreed to the following matters which do not affect the conditions of employment. These are:
- Implementation of the IPOS purchasing Workflow Automation
- Automation of Collections invoicing and information processing moving away from excel spreadsheets.
- Business Intelligence tool implementation for distributed report generation.
- Reduction in the use of independent contractor and/or agency staff carrying out specific projects in finance and IT to improve finance and IT systems. WSN will need to reduce one contractor/ agency role in the second year.
The Agreement is next listed for hearing by the NSW Industrial Relations Commission for the 19 August 2008 which should see the Agreement finalised.
Again the PSA encourages its members to support this Agreement.
