DADHC Restructure Bulletin, 16 November 2007

16 November 2007

The PSA is again re-enforcing our position in reply to a letter, which has been sent to members on the 9th of November by Brendan O'Reilly, Director General of the Department of Ageing, Disability and Homecare.

The Department has misrepresented the PSA within this letter by stating to members that;

"I believe that these changes will address the vast majority of concerns that staff have raised, and put us in a sound position to move towards the finalising this new award, with the support of the PSA".

The letter sent by DADHC is not a factual representation of the PSA.

The PSA has strongly stated our position to the Department, which is, that we reject the pay scales as proposed by the Department. The Department was aware of the PSA's position prior to the 9th of November 2007

The PSA wishes to advise members that the Association will be withdrawing from any future meetings with the Department regarding the Accommodation and Respite Restructure until such time the Department is able to provide the PSA with a better offer which will not disadvantage our members.

Should you have further comments or questions regarding the Accommodation & Respite Restructure, please call Julie Bond on (02) 9220 0961 or email jbond@psa.asn.au
