UNE bargaining begins16 February 2006The first bargaining round for an Enterprise Agreement under the new federal government conditions has begun. The new conditions are known as at Higher Education Workplace Relations Reforms (HEWRRs). They are essentially an attempt to stop employees from being represented by their union. This bulletin explains how the new system works and how the union can continue to represent the best interests of members and employees generally.
