SAS Staff (School) News, 21 November 200521 November 2005GRADE ONE POSITIONS AND ENROLMENT FORMSThe PSA has held ongoing negotiations for additional resources to assist with the increased workload enrolment forms and for the introduction of Grade One positions in all schools. After a series of letters and meetings the Department is still refusing to introduce the Grade one positions and has not given the PSA a firm proposal regarding the introduction of additional resources to perform the tasks related to the enrolment forms. The PSA has demanded an urgent meeting with the Department to resolve these issues. This meeting will be held next Wednesday morning between the Sue Walsh, PSA President, and senior level Departmental officers. If the meeting is unsuccessful your delegates on the Schools Departmental Committee have voted for the bans listed below. Our members are therefore on notice that from Wednesday (24th) afternoon the following duties may be banned (stay tuned for further advice):
Reminder re STEMS, FM Web, SSTARTS, SMART and CSA6 data entry and managementThe ban regarding STEMS, FM Web, SSTARTS, SMART and CSA6 data entry and management is still current. Schools DC Vice Chair Linda Murray and myself met with a representative of the Department informing him that it is the PSA's position that teachers should be performing these roles. The PSA has received a lot of enquiries in relation to these bans. If you are not performing these tasks then you can ignore the ban (unless you are asked to perform them in the future). If you have any enquiries regarding these bans please do not hesitate to contact Alice Murphy on 9220 0924
