POVB -- DIRECTION TO MEMBERS RE DISPUTE

14 September 2004

At 10.45pm today, in the Industrial Relations Commission, Justice Gleeson ruled that:

  • The 8 disputed positions at the MSPC remain until close of business Friday 17/09/04. This is to allow delegates to negotiate an outcome.

  • All work bans be lifted statewide and that the MSPC return to work at 1.30pm today, or as soon as possible. The other centres at Long Bay Complex are also to return to work ASAP.

The POVB State Executive endorses the judge's recommendation and thanks all members for their support.

Tony Howen, POVB Country Vice Chair
