Information about the Union

The PSA is the union for Teachers Aides. We negotiate with the Department to provide all Teachers Aides with the best possible conditions. These negotiations have resulted in:
  1. Payment for Public Holidays where your regular work day falls on a public holiday.
  2. The entitlement to a workstation.
  3. A forthcoming induction day.
  4. The agreement that Teachers' Aides are not to be sent home when the student to whom they are allocated is absent.
  5. The minimum requirement of two and where possible three continuous hours of employment.
