The Attorney General is responsible for a large number of legal and administrative bodies. The main ones are, with employee numbers (full time equivalents) in brackets:
- Attorney General's Department (3,323) - most of whom are employed in the courts: Local Courts (1,229); District Court (318); Supreme Court (320); industrial relations commission (111), Land & Environment Court (55) and other court support service (896).
